About BitLife

BitLife is a life simulator played entirely through choices. You start as a newborn with a set of statistics you did not pick, press Age to advance one year, and respond to whatever the year brings — school, jobs, relationships, money, illness, the occasional lawsuit. Nothing is on a timer and nothing is reflex-based; the whole game is reading a situation and deciding. Runs end when the character dies, which can be at ninety or at nineteen, and the appeal is how far a single early decision echoes down the rest of the life. Each playthrough takes a few minutes.

How to Play BitLife

1. Press Age to advance one year at a time
2. Read each event and pick a response
3. Use the menus to study, work, date or spend money
4. Keep an eye on health, happiness, smarts and looks
5. Play until the character dies, then start a new life
